B'lore, Nov.7 (NR): Though Parvathy was introduced through Malayalam films and has won her first film fare best actress award for her Tamil film, it is Kannada films which have a special place in her heart.

Her first Kannada film Milana ran for an year in PVR and was a stupendous success. Though her second Kannada film Male Irali Manju Barali did not meet the expectations it had created, Parvathi got critical appreciation for her performance in the film.

Now, Parvathi has signed a new film Prithwi to be directed by Jacob Varghese in which she is paired with Kannada film industry's numeru uno star Puneet Raj Kumar. Parvathy had come to Bangalore to be part of the elaborate Muhurath of the film.

Talking about the film, Parvathy said that she has got one hundred percent satisfaction after hearing the story of the film. "All the characters in the film are well defined. Director Jacob Varghese has a proper vision and has done a very good work in the script. I want hundred percent satisfaction from the role. He has chosen a relevant and contemporary subject for the film. I know that this film will carry lot of expectations among the viewers. One thing I would like to reiterate is that this is a different character for me as compared to two earlier Kannada films," says Parvathy.

How does she feel working with her Milana co-star again. "Working with a big star and a good performer like Puneet is certainly a big bonus for me. Puneet does not have any airs. He is so simple and straight forward. As far as I am concerned, I don't wan t to become a star. I want to remain as an actor and a performer. I don't worry about any image as such while accepting an offer. This belief in me has prompted me to accept this film," says Parvathy who has been quite choosy in picking up her roles.
