Where is Vishnukanth?

A frantic search is on to find out the where abouts of film director cum actor and producer Vishnukanth for the past thirty days.

Vishnukanth is the director of the much hyped film 'Ganga Cauvery' which has been shot in Gangothri of Himalayas and in Madikeri in Karnataka. The film had received lots of media coverage since it was announced and even the neatly designed invitation card was much discussed in the media circles.

And even before the canning of the first shot of the film, 'Ganga Cauvery' occupied the headlines because of the controversy regarding its hot and happening heroine Pooja Gandhi who accepted the film in the beginning and later rejected the offer citing date problems.

The film has been produced by Venkatappa who launches his son Akshay in the leading role. Mallika Kapoor and Mahi are the two heroines of the film. Anant Nag is also playing a vital role. The music of this film has been composed by K.Kalyan and award winning cinemetographer H.C.Venu is the cameraman.

Now Ganga Cauvery has completed its shooting and the director has become inaccessible.All efforts to contact him by the producer and the unit members have turned futile. Even his mobile number has become inactive. Vishnukanth has to take charge of the post production work of the film.

The producer Venkatappa is prepared to release the film on his own but wants his director to complete the pending work.

A film industry source revealed that Vishnukanth had even absented himself during the final lap of the shooting of the film in Kulu and Manali. The film's associate director Purushoththam and cinemetographer Venu were able to complete the work relating to a few sequences in Manali.

Vishnukanth made his entry into the Kannada film industry by producing a film 'Dr. B.R.Ambedkar' which won a state award. He acted in the title role of this film which was directed by Sharan. Then he had launched a film titled as "Manasugala Maathu Madhura' as a producer and had handed over the directorial responsibilities to Manju Maskal Matti. After a few days the fillm's director Matti had announced that the film will be made with a new producer and Vishnukanth had opted out of the film.

Vishnukanth had resurfaced again with Ganga Cauvery as a director.
