Vishnu stars in 'Ramana' remake

Bangalore, June 26 (IANS) Kannada star Vishnuvardhan has started working for his new film "Vishnuu Sena" (the additional u is for numerological reasons) in Mysore.

Mumbai-based Gurlin Chopra, Miss Punjab and Miss North India in 1998, has been chosen to play the female lead.

Vishnu is enjoying a good run these days, with two of his films, "Aaptha Mithra" and "Varsha", making waves.

"Vishnuu Sena" is a remake of the Tamil hit "Ramana", which had Vijayakanth as hero. The film was remade as "Tagore" in Telugu.

Naganna, who has had hits like "Kotigobba" and "Samrat" with Vishnuvardhan, directs the film.

Govindoo is the producer of this film, slated for a September release to coincide with the birthday of the superstar.
