Suryakanthi rolls, Chaithanya treads a new path

Bangalore, April.28: Chaithanya, the director of Aa Dinagalu created a new wave in the Kannada film industry with his style of narration and script. Now, Chaithanya is on to his second film Suryakanthi for which shooting is now in progress. The film was launched a few days ago in the Dharmagiri Manjunatha Swamy Temple.


Aa Dingalu had lot of realistic overtones, but Suryakanthi will be a different film. Chaithanya himself discloses that he has taken a new path in this film which can be slotted as an action oriented love story. "There is bound to be fantasy elements in such films. It is certainly a commercial film, but the treatement will be different," adds Chaithanya.


Suryakanthi will be shot in Bangalore, Belgaum, Goa and Uzbekistan in a schedule of over 70 days. The script is written by Narayanaswamy, who is a mentor to Chaitanya. Chennai based Regina is the heroine of this film. She has already worked in two Tamil films and has modelled in over 100 commeercials.


"I am still studying, but acting in films is my passion. I am really happy to work with this committed unit," says Regina.


M.Vasu is the producer of the film. Manjunath who was the coproducer of Upendra's 'A' is helping Vasu.
