Suhasini to direct a Kannada film by 2010

Bangalore, June.5 (NR): Actress and TV anchor Suhasini Manirathnam who had directed a Tamil film Indira many years ago is donning the hat of director again. She is all set to direct a Kannada film by 2010.

She told media persons during the press conference of her film Eradaneya Hendathi that she is all set to direct a Kannada film next year.

Incidentally, Suhasini has been a target of a few Tamil film directors who have been offended by her film reviews aired on JAYA TV. "Suhasini Manirathnam may be a great actress, but she is a bad film critic," say some of the Tamil film directors who have been peeved by her strong criticism of Tamil films.

Apparently these directors are upset because Suhasini has been highly critical of their films on her TV talk show in Jaya TV. Suhasini is anchoring a programme where she takes the role of a film critic and analyzes the quality of the films. Recently she had said that Tamil film Rajadhi Raja which had featured Actor-director-dance director Lawrence had taken Tamil films atleast twenty years back and had severely criticized the film's director Shakthi Chidambaram or rehashing some old MGR films. Shakthi has now sent a legal notice to Suhasini and has also taken up the issue with the Tamil film artists association.

Suhasini who was in Bangalore recently for the press meet of her Kannada film Eradaneya Hendathi directed by Dinesh Babu also says that Kannada films have given her lot of roles and creative satisfaction.
