'Salute': B.C.Patil on a comeback trail

For B.C.Patil, it has been a long journey. From a Police Officer, he turned a filmmaker-actor. And then he metamorphosed into a politician, and a very successful one at that.

His political activities, especially those as an MLA, had kept him busy and away from films. Now, after a gap, Patil comes back to films with 'Salute', which he is directing and producing as well, in addition to doing the lead role.

Though not many details have been divulged, it's learnt that a leading actress would play the heroin. Sai Karthik is in charge of the music department while Niranjan Babu will crank the camera for 'Salute'. The film will start rolling in March and will be shot in Bangalore, Belgaum, Davengere and Hubli. 'Salute' is B.C.Patil's fifth film as a director and his 14th as a producer. The film is being produced under the banner of Om Shakthi Productions.
