Bangalore, Dec 3 (IANS) Kannada actress Ramya says she has turned down actor-filmmaker Prakash Raj's directorial debut "Naanu Nanna Kanasu" because of the low fee offered to her.
"Without taking an advance I had attended the muhurat. But now I am realising that I made a mistake by being part of the film's promos and launch before finalising my remuneration," Ramya wrote on her facebook page.
"It's my final decision not to work in the film. I cannot agree for a lesser remuneration only because I would have been unfair to other producers who are making films with me."
"When many Kannada film producers are willing to pay more money to Mumbai and Chennai actors, why do they hesitate to pay Kannada heroines who really deserve it," she asked.
But Shylaja Nag, one of the producers of this film, said that Ramya was dropped because of her attitude.
