Ramya is not the heroine of Prithwi: Soorappa Babu

B'lore, Oct.19 (NR): Prithwi producer Soorappa Babu is quite angry over the news in a section of the media that actress Ramya will be teamed up with Puneet in the film Prithwi which will be launched on October 15.

"Though we have been scouting for a heroine for more than three months, we have never discussed about Ramya. Neither the director or the team of Prithwi had any idea of casting Ramya as the heroine of the film or in any other role. We did discuss several names: many heroines who have already worked for Kannada films and in other language films have been approached. We are still trying to get a heroine who fits into the role. But somehow the confusion created by the publication of a fabricated news has really messed up things. We don't know as to who has planted such news items in a section of the media," says an angry Soorappa Babu.

"I have already made clear in several interviews in Channels and interaction with media friends that Ramya will not be part of our film. That should be the final word of this whole controversy which was the handiwork of some vested interests," says Soorappa Babu.

Parvathi Menon is the heroine of this film. She had earlier acted with Puneet in hugely successful Milana.

"I am happy to be teamed up with Puneet again in Prithwi. I have heard the story and it is quite exciting to work in such a big project," says Parvathi. Parvathi will be participating in the shooting of the film from November 5.

The regular shooting of the film will commence from October 20.
