Ramya Furious over Marriage Rumours

Popular multilingual star Ramya who had a string of hits in recent times including the Tamil film "Polladhavan', in which she was teamed up Dhanush, is in an angry mood. The actress who is known as Divya in the Tamil film industry is clearly upset with the rumours that are making the rounds in Hyderabad, that claim that she has got married to Mega Star Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan, who in turn, has now become a big star after the success of his debut film 'Chirutha'.

"This is not only untrue, but a figment of imagination from a cantankerous mind. How can such baseless news appear in newspapers or in some channels which are in the habit of sensationalizing even unsubstantiated reports?! This is the first time I am hearing this story. I think I have become a victim of a maligning campaign that is going on in Hyderabad about any one connected to Chiranjeevi's family members," said Ramya reacting strongly to this report.

"I don't claim that I don't know Ram Charan who has been my good friend for some time now. We studied together in an acting training school at Mumbai. And we have been meeting since then. Whenever I go to Hyderabad I try to ring up Ram Charan to say Hello. There is nothing more to this relationship," she added.

Ramya also said that some news reports suggesting the secret marriage of Ram Charan with his 'Chirutha' heroine Neha Sharma are also untrue.

She said that many such articles were written about her when she started to act in Telugu films, which were engineered by some other heroines. "That was because I had achieved success in the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu film industries. But when I had to shift to Kannada films these maligning articles suddenly stopped making their appearance."

Earlier Ram Charan, on his part, had denied that he had a secret marriage with either his 'Chirutha' heroine Neha Sharma or his good friend Ramya.
