B'lore, Sep.6 (NR): Radhika Pandit is surely going places in Sandalwood. She has caught the attention of several young directors who are picking her to offer some exciting roles tailor made for her. She has recently signed a new untitled film to be directed by Shashank which is being launched next month. This film is to be produced by Uday Mehta and Mohan Naik who have produced Raavana with Yogi and Sachita Padukone.


"I am delighted to sign another film with Shashank, my mentor who chose me after seeing my work in the Television serial Nanda Gokula. I got a very good break from Moggina Manasu which gave me my first prestigious award. I always remain indebted to Shashank and Moggina Manasu producer E.Krishnappa sir," says Radhika Pandit who won the Best Actress Filmfare award for the film. Incidentally Shashank also got the Best director Filmfare award through this film. Ajay Kumar will be playing the lead role in this film.


Ever since Radhika Pandit portrayed the role of Chanchala in the film Moggina Manasu directed by Shashank, this young girl who has combined beauty with talent has been making big news in each of her films. She has been extremely choosy since the release of her first film Moggina Manasu and has been taking up roles that have potential to showcase her talents.


With her acting skills and charms, Radhika Pandit has certainly increased her fan following in recent days what with her recent film Love Guru inching towards fifty days run in Bangalore and Mysore. Already director Dayal Padmanabhan has signed her for Kaddu Muchchi in which she will be working with Diganth. The film is to start after the completion of Dayal's present film Sree Hari which is now being shot in Mangalore. Another of Radhika's film Super Man has been plagued by problems after it has completed the first schedule of shoot. Prajwal is the hero of this film and now the news is that the problems have been resolved and the film may well start its shoot shortly. However Super Man may have to cross many hurles because Radhika has already given dates to Shashank's new film and she is also committed to work in Dayal Padmanabhan's new film.


Incidentally, 18th Cross, a film which was a launching pad for Radhika is also getting released shortly. Duniya producer Siddaraju who is the father of actor Yogi is backing the project and making arrangements for the film's release. The producers of this film want to cash in on Radhika's popularity and want to release the film. Deepak is the hero of this film.
