Prem is one of the finest persons I have met - Rakshita

Normally announcement of marriage plans can be highly risky for an established heroine, more so when she is slotted as a glamorous heroine. But look at what is happening to Rakshitha's career even after she publicly announced that she will be marrying Kannada film director Prem who delivered three big successive hits including the much hyped "Jogi' with Shivaraj Kumar.

On the coming Varamahalakshmi festival day, two big films of Rakshitha will have its launch in Bangalore. She has also signed a couple of other films all of which has to be completed before her marriage to Prem.

Whether in demand or out of it, the glamour babe of Kannada film industry is one such star who has been making news ever since she made a sensational debut through Kannada film "Appu' four years ago.

Puri Jagannadh who directed Appu took her to Telugu film industry where the actress enjoyed a greater degree of success in films like Idiot, Pellam Oorelithe and Lakshmi Narasimha.

Then she did act in a couple of Tamil films, though she had no bright spots in Tamil film industry.

In a brief span, Rakshitha has already acted with many top stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, NTR, Mahesh Babu, Puneet Raj Kumar, Sudeep, Darshan, Vijay, Ravi Teja, Nagarjuna, Silambarasan and many other top stars.

Her good performance in many films has been much appreciated and many of her fans say that her dances have always been a treat to watch. But now, Rakshitha is making news for being much in demand in the Kannada film industry and also for her closeness with Director Prem.

Discussing Prem with her will not be very easy, as she becomes circumspect whenever she has to talk of him. But why did she decide to tie the knot when she is in peak of her career.

"I think all top heroines will think of marriage when they are much in demand. I believe it is better for me to marry when people would think as to why I opted for marriage. What is the use of marrying when I am not required in the industry as the heroine? Anyway people will always say I had no other option. But it is better to think of marriage when I have options. I don't want to hide anything. I am marrying Prem with who I have been in love for quite some time. I think it is destiny that brought us together. We will discuss the time of marriage after some time. Anyway I have to complete the present assignments and he has to finish working for his own "Preethi Eke Bhoomi Melidhe' which is incidentally being launched on August 4, the day of Varamahalakshmi festival" says Rakshitha.

"Prem is one of the finest persons I have met. He is simple and straight forward. I can not say which quality in him had attracted me. Both of us were brought up in different backgrounds. He has his roots in village and has learnt how to behave and how to be modest. But I should say I am moving in circles where false prestige is rampant and people carry lot of illusions about their importance. He has achieved so much, but yet he is humble" she adds.

Rakshitha is happy about the reactions she has received for her performance in "Neenello Naanalle' in which she played sister's role to Vishnuvardhan. "It was a good role. I learnt a lot from Vishnu sir and director Dinesh Babu Sir who taught me how to be effective in some emotional and comical sequences of the film. Anyway it was my dream to work with a veteran like Dr. Vishnu sir whom I respect a lot". Another dream of her to work as a heroine to Crazy Star Ravichandran has also been fulfilled. She is one of the heroines for Ravichandran in "Odahuttidavalu" in which Radhika is also playing another important lead role.

"Yes, I know "Odahuttidavalu" revolves around the sentimental bondage of Ravi sir's character and his sister. But nevertheless I think this film is important to my career as I did have an opportunity to work with Ravi sir who was my darling from my childhood. It was a great time for me to work with Ravi sir' Rakshitha giggles.

She also adds that she has been teamed up with all top heroes in the Kannada film industry. Now that she will be working with Shivaraj Kumar in "Thaayiya Madilu' directed by S.Narayan, the list of her films will show that she has worked with all the top heroes in the industry.

Another important film for her is "Tananam Tananam" directed by Award winning director Kavitha Lankesh in which she is playing a dancer's role. The film is much in news mainly because she is working with another top heroine Ramya with whom she did not enjoy a cute relationship. There was also some slinging match played in the media by the two. "I had a great time working in Tananam Tananam with veterans like Bharathi Madam, Girish Karnad acting in it. Kavitha Lankesh is a fantastic director. She gave me a bound script before we started shooting for the film. I like every aspect of the film and even had some training traditional dance for this film. The sequences with Ramya were also enjoyable. Both of us had put the past behind us and have worked well. We had very good chemistry on the sets" says Rakshitha.

Rakshitha's next films include "Hubballi" in which she is teamed up with Sudeep and another film "Rajeev" in which she will be working with young Vijaya Raghavendra. .

''Rajeev" will be a totally different type of film. I am not teamed up with Vijaya Raghavendra in the film, but I am playing the role of a police officer along side with him. It is the story of five police officers who daringly work together to take on city mafia and win the battle.

"Hubballi" is a commercial entertainer which is directed by Om Prakash Rao who delivered two big hits for me in "Kalaasi Palya' and "Ayya". Om Prakash sir always makes well packaged films. Sir has made a name. Hubballi will also be my third film with Sudeep. My two films with Deepu were hits, but they did not have a long run, though Dhum did complete a hundred day run. I hope this film will have a long run. I have a very important role in the film which has a larger scope for performance" says Rakshitha. .
