Preeti Jhangiani on Kannada screen, at last

In her first Kannada film "Onkaara", she is paired with Upendra. The film is directed by actor-director Shivamani and has another Bollywood face Shwetha Menon. Preeti was first selected to play the lead in "Ninagyaake" directed by D. Rajendra Babu two years ago. The film had an extravagant muhurat but failed to take off after two days of shooting. Then Preeti's name figured in the film "Panduranga Vittala", starring Crazy Star Ravichandran and directed by D. Rajendra Babu. The producers even sent Preeti an advance amount but it faced several problems, including differences between the producers and the director. Rambha came in place of Preeti after the film was launched again with a new director. Preeti, who has already acted in a Tamil and Telugu film, must have felt that Kannada films were just not for her.
