New lease of life for Sunil with 'Chappaale'

Bangalore, Jan 27 (IANS): Kannada film star Sunil Rao is thrilled with the overwhelming response to his new movie "Chappaale" in which he plays an action hero.

Sunil had not watched "Chappaale" either at its preview or on the first day of its release. "I saw 'Chappaale' on the first Sunday after its release and was really thrilled with the fantastic response in the theatre," said Sunil.

"I was really moved by the spontaneous response of the audience. I think Naganna 'Sir' (the filmmaker) has given me a new lease of life as an action hero," he added.

The audience's response was an eye-opener, said Sunil. "Now that I have personally seen the feedback from the audience, I will try to workout more to improve my physique."

Leading film producer Rockline Venkatesh has signed Sunil for his next movie to be directed by Dayal.

Currently, Sunil is busy shooting for another Dayal film, "Masaale" for producer K.C.N. Chandrashekhar.
