Bangalore, Oct 26 (IANS) Award-winning director Girish Kasaravalli is making rapid progress with his new film "Naayi Neralu", based on a novel of S.L. Byrappa.
In a few days, the outdoor shooting for the film will be over in the Dakshina Kannada district.
The shooting started Oct 2 at a temple in Moodambail. Then, the film unit moved to Padubidri, where important sequences were canned. A day's shooting will also be done in Kasaragod.
Talking to IANS from Moodabidri, Kasaravalli said the shooting was going on smoothly. He added the continuous rains had been a deterrent sometimes but had "even helped in some sequences".
A new hero, Ashwin, is being introduced in the film. He has undergone acting training in the US.
Pavithra Lokesh is doing an important role in the film. Ananya Kasaravalli, the director's daughter, is playing a role besides working as a costume designer.
