Bangalore, Sep 30 (IANS) Director Dinakar's unique poster to promote his forthcoming film "Navagraha" - with the pictures of seven former Kannada screen villains - has become a huge hit.

Dinakar has cast the sons of seven former screen villains in the film. And instead of the sons, the director has used their fathers' pictures on the poster - Toogudeepa Srinivas, Tiger Prabhakar, Sundarkrishna Urs, Dinesh, Sudhir, Lokesh and Keertiraj. Their sons are Darshan, Vinod Prabhakar, Nagendra Urs, Giri, Tarun, Srujan and Dharma respectively.

Except for Keethiraj, all the other actors are dead.

"I received a phone call from a well known photographer who is keeping away from films. I had to tell him that I was indeed alive," said Keerthiraj.

Commenting upon the posters, Dinakar told IANS: "The posters have already become a hit. Many people are thanking me for such a poster design which has made them remember the top villain artists of the Kannada film industry."

"Before each character is introduced in the film, the face of their respective father will appear first and it morphs into the son's face. We have made some extraordinary special effects for the film," he added.

"Navagraha" is Dinakar's second directorial venture after hit movie "Jothe Jotheyalli". It is slated for October release.
