Namitha teamed up with Ravichandran.

Namitha, the latest sex symbol of the Tamil film industry has been featured in a Kannada film "Neelakanta" which has Crazy Star Ravichandran in the lead. The film is produced by Bala Muttaiaha and is directed by Sai Prakash who has directed "Oda Huttidavaru" with Ravichandran earlier.

Sree Devika, another Malayali actress who has been making deep inroads into the Kannada film industry recently is the second heroine in the film. Ravichandran has composed music for the film and it is certainly after a long gap that he has taken up the responsibility of music direction for a film which is not directed by him. Namitha is reported to be at her sensuous best in the song sequences of the film.

Namitha says that she has had many monotonous roles and was always thinking of some changed roles. "Yes, glamour is my USP, but I was always looking for different type of roles. "Neelakanta" has given me a different type of role where I have more emotional sequences than sensuous songs" says Namitha.
