Name search on for Komal's new film
Feb 15, 2009 RGVA.R.Babu is the director of this film for which Director-cinemetographer Ashok Kashyap is working as a cameraman. Balaji, the music director of the recently released hit Mast Majaa Maadi is the music director of the film.
The film's original title as Operation Kamala has not been cleared from Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and hence a search is on for an alternative title. Now, a new title is being considered. "Chamakaayisi, Chindi Udaayisi' which has been very popular in a Radio Channel has now been the title in consideration and the clearance from the Film chamber is awaited.
Besides Komal, a host of other well known artists are acting in this film which has been touted as a 150 minute non stop comedy film. Srinivas, Komal's brother-in-law who gave a break to Jaggesh, elder brother of Komal as a hero is fully backing this project.
Kiran of Haage Summane, Raahul of Nannusire and Giri Dinesh who made a mark through Navagraha are the other major artists of the film. Nidhi Subbaiah who had made a debut through Nannusire and who is still working in the film Krishna Nee Begane Baare is the heroine of the film. Nethanya who had worked with Upendra in films like Kutumba and Budhdhivantha is also playing another important role in the film. Mukyamanthri Chandru, Sihi Kahi Chandru, Umashri, Maari Muththu, Prameela Joshai are playing the other characters of the film.
A dance sequence was being picturised on Nidhi, Komal, Rahul and Giri Dinesh.
Though director A.R.Babu said that the story is original, Komal spilled the beans implying that the script has been inspired by a Hollywood film.
Komal said that every sequence in the script was intended to make the people laugh. The film will be shot in Malaysia for 23 days and a 30 member unit is proceeding for the remaining part of the shoot, he added. Komal said the Bangalore portions of the shooting will be completed in 23 days. "Major song and sequences portions have been planned in Malaysia.' said Komal.
Talking about his decision to become a hero, Komal said that he wanted to move forward than to stagnate in one place. "Yes, I was making money as a character artist. But I wanted to do something different and enhance my appeal among the audience. I wanted to move forward and have taken this step to become a hero. I know I would have been busy and working overtime If I had continued as a comedy actor. I am working in this film with extreme tension and pressure. Many people have advised me not to take the risk to become a hero. But I am just answering the desire inside me," said Komal.
