Meena makes a comeback to Kannada films

B'lore, Dec.16 (NR): Actress Meena who had taken a break from film acting has now returned to working in films. She is presently working in a Kannada film with Ramesh Arvind for which shooting has just now begun.

The film has a very interesting title as Hendthira Darbar. The title has also got a tag line Gandandre Hushaar. The film is a remake of Tamil hit Varavu Ettana Selavu Paththna which was essentially a comedy film directed by Shekar. The film's story revolves around the travails of a middle class family which finds it extremely difficult to make both ends meet with a restricted income. V. Shekar will be directing this Kannada film for which shooting has already commenced.

Meena had earlier acted with Ramesh in Tamil films, but it is the first time that she is acting with the actor in a Kannada film. The actress known for her lovely smile had married a Bangalore based professional Vidyasagar in Tirupati on July 12 after which she had kept away from her filmy assignments. She was just acting in some Tamil serials. But now the actress has made a come back to work in films.

Meena who has started her career in films as a child artist says that her husband has already given green signal for her to act in films. She has started working in a Tamil film Vidathe Pidi directed by T.P.Gajendran in which Prabhu is playing an important role. After accepting her new Kannada offer, Meena has given enough indication that she is prepared to act in films even just a few months after her marriage. She says she will be working in Telugu and Malayalam films also which have earlier given her the best of roles.

Meena has worked in many Kannada films like Simhadhriya Simha with Dr. Vishnuvardhan, Putnanja with Ravichandran, Swathimuththu and My Autograph with Sudeep. Meena was once the busiest heroine in Tamil and Telugu films.
