Sep 21, 2007 R.G. VijayasarathyThe top five Kannada albums are:
1. "Cheluvina Chiththaara" - As the 100th day of the film approaches, the album continues to do extremely good business in the retail market. The lyrics of S. Narayan have enhanced the appeal of Mano Murthy's music. "Ullasadha hoomale", "Kanasidho Nanasidho" and "Janumadha Gelathi" are the most popular songs.
2. "Mungaru Male" - Nine months ago the audio was released, and ever since its popularity is increasing with the film still running well in major centres. All the songs of the film have proved to be popular. "Anisuthide" and "Kunidu kunidu baare" are the two top songs and carry the Mano Murthy imprint.
3. "Mathadu Mathadu Mallige" - The film is turning out to be a big hit and the songs, composed by Mano Murthy, are also becoming highly popular. "Namma mane aramane", "Ella maaya" and "Banna bannada" are the top songs in the album. The lyrics are meaningful.
4. "Milana" - The songs of the film became popular even before its release on the eve of the Ganesh festival, because of the charisma of hero Puneet Raj Kumar. "Ninindale, Ninindale" sung by Sonu Nigam is the top song of the album. "Male ninthu hodha mele" has also become popular after the film's release. Mano Murthy's melodies win again.
5. "Krishna" - The album's initial success is due to the fact that the current heartthrob of millions, Ganesh, is the film's hero. Harikrishna, who provided hit music in "Jothe Jotheyalli", has wielded the baton for "Krishna" as well.
