A book titled as ''Making of Aaptha Mithra" written by Journalist Mahesh Devashetti who works as a sub editor in the local Kannada daily ''Vijaya Karnataka" has become extremely popular according to its author.

There have been no books on the making of films in Kannada language and the fact that the film ran for almost one year may be the reason for the popularity. Dr. Vishnuvardhan and Late Soundarya starred ''Aaptha Mithra' is the remake of Malayalam Hit ''Manichitrathazhu' which also ran for a year. After the release of ''Aaptha Mithra' the same script was used for making Rajnikanth starrer ''Chandramukhi' which also was a raving hit and ran for a year.

Actor Dwarakish who produced the film ''Aaptha Mithra' says that his desire to publish a book on the making of ''Aaptha Mithra' has realized and he is happy about the popularity of the book.

''I narrated the incidents about making this film to Mahesh Devashetty and he has done a good job. I have vented out my frustrations, anger, humiliations in the book. I would be happy if at all the book inspires a few producers who have lost hope to make fresh attempts. That would be a fulfilling experience to me' he said.
