Lakshmi Rai to act with Mohan Lal and Mammootty

Kannada girl Lakshmi Rai who is presently acting in Kannada film 'Minchina Ota' is all set to sizzle in the Malayalam film industry. While Mallu girls like Meera Jasmine, Navya Nair, Parvathi and Sree Devika are trying to make a strong presence in the Kannada film industry, it is heartening that Lakshmi Rai who has been born and brought up in Belgaum is trying to make a foothold in the Malayalam film industry.

Lakshmi Rai who has acted in Kannada films like 'Valmiki', 'Santha', and 'Snehaanaa Preethinaa' has been quite busy in the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She is presently acting in Tamil films like 'Dhaam Dhoom' with Jeyam Ravi and in 'Vellithirai'.

Lakshmi Rai who was introduced to the Tamil film industry in 'Karka Kasadara' has already acted with Vijayakanth in "Dharmapuri'. She had also worked in a Telugu film earlier.

Lakshmi Rai is presently shooting for her Kannada film 'Minchina Ota' which is being shot in Bangalore. Talking to Bangalore Mirror she expressed happiness over the progress she has been achieving in her career.

"I am not desperate for roles. I want to take on only good projects. Thankfully I am getting very good roles now in films like 'Minchina Ota' and my new film 'Annan Thambi' in Malayalam. It is really a challenging role in 'Minchina Ota' which will be like a edge of the seat thriller and I am playing a serious role for the first time in "Annan Thambi' where I will be playing the role of Mammootty sir's wife. All these future films hold a lot of promise and I hope to act in many good films in different languages in future," says this glamorous girl who is not averse to do a little bit of exposing on screen.

Lakshmi Rai is now acting with the two top stars of Malayalam industry which can send shivers down the spine for many Mallu girls. She was the heroine for Mohan Lal in the film 'Rock and Roll'. She has also signed a new Malayalam film 'Annan Thambi' with Mammotty recently. The film will have Mammootty doing two roles in the film.

Its indeed a matter of recogintion that With in a matter of two months, this Kannada girl has been able to sign two hot Malayalam projects.
