Komal's sweet journey to meaty roles

Feb 4, 2007 RGV

Komal is one of the busiest actors in the Kannada film industry today. He has won the Best actor in the Supporting role award from state government. And he is the busiest actor today shuffling from one outdoor spot to another for shootings. He is acting with almost all top heroes mainly as a comedy actor, but for one thing he is hoping that his role in 'Santha' would give him another big break and recognition in the form awards and appreciation.

'I am doing a sentimental role in 'Santha' directed by Murali. Shivaraj Kumar the hero of 'Santha' who has seen me performing different type of roles in many films was really happy with my performance and even said that this powerful role may well be the highlight of the film. I had essayed many sentimental roles earlier in 'Tavarige Baa Thangi' and 'Oda Huttidavalu', but I think this role is the best I had ever acted' says Komal.

Incidentally, Komal is also acting in 'Manmatha' which has his brother Jaggesh in the leading role. I have acted in many films with my brother earlier. But 'Manmatha' role stands out because I am playing a major role which is of equal importance as that of my brother' says Komal. Incidentally, Jaggesh plays dual role in the film 'Manmatha' which is a remake of Surya starrer hit 'Peralagan'.
