'Kalasi Palya' to be costly affair, says producer

However, he said, "Sentimental sequences will be the mainstay of the film."
Unwilling to reveal the storyline, Ramu said the film's songs had become a huge hit.
Director Om Prakash Rao is directing "Kalasi Palya". He had directed the earlier big budget films of Ramu Enterprises - "AK 47", "Lockup Death" and "Simhada Mari".
Darshan has pretty Rakshitha pitted opposite him. His previous film "Bhagwan" was a big hit.
Kalasi Palya is a busy area in Bangalore, also known for its reported underworld activities. The film's story, written by the director, tells about the young hero brought up in the slums of Kalasi Palya, who becomes a don but in the end he demolishes the underworld.
Rakshitha said that hers was a glamorous role. "I have taken care to select my own costumes."
The music is by Venkat Narayan. The others starring in the film are: Avinash, Chithra Shenoy, Sadhu Kokilaa and Raju Ananthaswami.
