Journalist Shenoy to Direct a New Film

'Mungaru Male' producer Krishnappa is all set to produce a new film under the direction of well known journalist Sadashiva Shenoy. The title of the film is 'Maathrubhoomi'! It is a five year dream come true for Journalist Mr Sadashiva Shenoy who has finally got a nod from E.Krishnappa.

The budget of the film is around Rs. 3.5 to 4 crores and Shenoy is interested to get Bollywood queen Priyanka Chopra for the important role in the film. There will be six young new boys in this film who fall in love with her. Priyanka Chopra has liked the story, but has told the producers to wait as she has to adjust her dates. But Shenoy does not want to delay the project and will probably select his heroine at the earliest.

Shenoy dwells on the 200 years of British rule and also the present day happenings where globalisation has its effects on the day to day life of the common man.

"This is a patriotic film laced with a college love story. And I have a strong message in the film. The clash between the Western and Indian music is also a part of the subject," says shenoy.

The shooting will be held in 60 days in the Coastal districts and in Bangalore.

The muhurut for the film will take place in the first week of April.
