'Jothe Jotheyalli' celebrates 100th day

In the days of depression and a big crisis there loomed a carnival of success in the form of 'Jothe Jotheyalli' which celebrated hundred days in twelve centers of the state. The hundredth day celebration of 2006 hit 'Jothe Jotheyali' Produced by Challenging star Darshan directed by Dinakar Toogudeepa, brother Darshan turned out to be grand affair.


The film had 'Nenapirali' Prem and Ramya in the lead roles. The hundred day function held at the Bunts Hall had seen the presence of Crazy Star Ravichandran, Hatrick hero Shivaraj Kumar and Power Star Puneet Raj Kumar- the three big heroes of the Kannada film industry. Challenging Star Darshan who had acted in a cameo in the film was at the helm of affairs to oversee the function and all the things went smoothly. Rebel Star Ambareesh who is the present Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting also came a little late to the function, but his presence made all the difference. Darshan and his brother were thrilled. Ms. Parvathamma Raj Kumar was another chief guest at the function who distributed the trophies in this function. Darshan and Dinakar's mother Meena Toogudeepa was on the Dias and she spoke emotionally in the function.


Vijayalakshmi Darshan, Darshan's wife also ensured the smooth run of the function.


Superstars Ravichandran, Shivaraj Kumar and Puneet Raj Kumar distributed the trophies and appreciated that Darshan has produced a quality film which went well with the audience. They said that that the New Year has started off well with this celebration. There was veteran producer Dwarakish who spoke in his own familiar fashion to tell how Darshan created a big director and a successful star from his own film. But yes, Ramya the heroine of the film who is credited largely for the success of the film was conspicuous by her absence.


Darshan who has done a cameo role in the film waited till the last minute of the function for the arrival of Ambareesh. The anchor had a torrid time to continue the function for a while, and to everyone's relief Ambareesh turned up to garland Darshan. Dinakar Thoogudeepa was so thrilled with this function that he complimented all the three stars who made their presence and were there throughout the function. 'It was only an oral invitation and I was surprised they instantly agreed and even patted me on the back for making my first film a grand success. I am deeply encouraged by their gestures' said Dinakar.


Dinakar will be directing his second film with Darshan as the hero. The film will take a little more time to launch.
