'Jogi' outshines star-studded rivals

Bangalore, Oct 7 (IANS) The most talked-about film in Karnataka today is 'Jogi' that has beaten several other star-studded films to remain on top.

The top five Kannada films are:

1. "Jogi": The impact of "Jogi" has even affected the collections of other star-studded films. It is an all-time hit. It is to be seen if its collections will surpass those of earlier top hits like "Yajamana" and "Janumada Jodi".

2. "Amrutha Dhaare": The film, released in some select city centres and in the best of theatres, has followed the technique of the Rajshri production house. The film with Dhyan and Ramya in the lead will more than recover its investment.

3. "Deadly Soma": The film's initial collections were indicative of the inherent strength of the story of the film. The film survived in the initial two weeks despite stiff competition from "Jogi". Even the Telugu-remake rights of the film have been sold for a fancy price. The film has made Audithya a star in Kannada cinema.

4. "Auto Shankar": The film, about which much has already been written, continues to do well.

5. "Swamy": The film, released on Sep 30, had a poor opening.
