Nov 22, 2005 R.G. VijayasarathyThe top five albums are:
1."Jogi": This is the first time that 300,000 CDs of a Kannada film have been sold within six months of its release. All the six songs of the film have become big hits. Guru Kiran has now become the toast of Kannada film music fans.
2."Amrithdhare": Popularised by the television channels, the film's songs have become hits after its box-office success. The title song, "Mane Katti Nodu, Maduve Maadi Nodu" and "Huduga Huduga" have become hits. Mano Murthy has once again proved his ability to deliver musical hits.
3. "Vishnu Sena": The film's release date is not yet fixed, but its audio sale has been brisk. It is after a long gap that the film's hero, Vishnuvardhan, has rendered a song, and "Abhimaanigale" is a hit.
4. "Anna Thangi": The film, released on Nov 4, seems to be picking up now. The film's plus point is its melodious music, so the audio has a chance of doing well.
5. "Uppi Dada MBBS": This Upendra-starrer and the Kannada remake of Hindi hit "Munnabhai M.B.B.S," has music by R.P. Patnayak. Upendra has written some of the songs himself. The title song, written and sung by him, has become extremely popular.
