Bangalore, June 22 (IANS) The audio of Kannada film "Jogi" is scaling the popularity charts with each passing day. Cassette and CD sales are soaring and even TV channels are doing special programmes on the songs.

The top five Kannada audios are:

1. "Jogi": The film's songs have become so popular that they are already being played at functions around Karnataka - this despite the fact that the film's date of release is not known.

Music director Guru Kiran has delivered a high-quality performance. "Bin Ladennu Nan Maava" is catching up fast among the youth while two other songs - "Ello Jogappa Ninna Aramane" and "Hodi Maga" - too have become popular.

The audio of director Prem's two earlier films too were huge hits.

2. "Akash": The film completed 50 days last week and the songs have grown in popularity over this period. When the audio was released, it was largely felt that music director R.P. Patnayak has failed to deliver. Now, "Neene Neene" and "Kuladalli Keelyaavudho" have become chartbusters.

3. "Gauramma": The film's songs released two weeks ago have been a success and have added a feather to music director S.A. Raj Kumar's cap. The song "Koltaalallappo" has been extremely popular.

According to Madhu Bangarappa, owner of Akash Audio that released the songs, the strong marketing strategy has paid off.

4. "Shastri": The film's audio sales have been satisfactory. One of the songs is a straight copy of "Ayyo Ayyo" from Tamil film "M. Kumaran, Son of Mahalakshmi".

5. "Aaptha Mithra": Box-office collections of "Aaptha Mithra" have gone down, but the audio continues to do well.
