It is normal for film artists to be raided, says Radhika

Multilingual film actress Radhika's house in Katriguppe has been raided by the Income Tax authorities on Sunday Evening. But the actress seems to be unruffled over the Income Tax raids that took place on Sunday night in her Katriguppe house. 'I don't think there is anything unusual about it. IT authorities have been raiding the residences of film artists. But thankfully I was regularly filing my returns and the records and all the purchases were transparent' says an unperturbed Radhika.


Radhika had made her debut in Kannada film 'Neela Megha Shyaama' though it was her first released film 'Ninagaagi' which brought her to limelight. Her sentimental films like 'Tavarige Baa Thangi' and 'Anna Thangi' did rake in lot of money. She also did Tamil and Telugu films like 'Iyarkai', 'Meesa Maadhava' and Telugu film 'Bhadrachala Rama'.


The streets of Gandhinagar which is the citadel of the Kannada film industry was abuzz with the rumors that the Income Tax authorities have raided the residence of actress Radhika and are reported to have seized incriminating documents about the purchase of a big house recently. According to rumors going on in Gandhinagar, The actress is reported to have purchased a built house in Dollar Colony valued more than Rs. 10 crores. The rumors also maintained that the Income tax authorities had seized cash amounting to more than a crore of rupees. But the actress maintained that she has kept all her accounts properly and has been filing the income tax returns every year properly.
