B'lore, Oct.22 (NR): Jannat heroine Sonal Chouhan has completed shooting portions for the Kannada film Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu which has been shot in many parts of the world. Sonal is teamed up with Shivaraj Kumar in the film which is directed by actor Raghu Ram who was working earlier in Zee TV Kannada Channel.

"Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu has given me a platform for South Indian Movies. I had earlier acted in a Telugu film which however was not very inspiring for any artist. I was looking for a right break in South when Raghuram had approached me. The first thing he told me was that a senior artist like Shivaraj Kumar had appreciated my performance in Jannat. That was a very big compliment to me. Later when I heard the story of the film I felt very happy that a right opportunity had knocked at my doors. My character in my first Kannada film was well defined,"says Sonal Chouhan.

Sonal says that she does not want to be just slotted for glamour roles in films. "I really don't like to be slotted as a glamorous actress. I think I have enough talents to prove that I am a good performer. When I had accepted CNN, I was little apprehensive whether I will be used just as a glamour doll in the film like other Bollywood heroines who make a foray in South. But Raghuram briefed me the story which had a big scope for the heroine's role. When I started shooting for the film I was fully convinced that the film will turn out to be a big project and this film is sure to make history in Kannada films."

Sonal feels that Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu will certainly mark a very good beginning for her in South Indian film industry. "Though I had earlier acted in Telugu film Rainbow which has been released already, I always feel that CNN is my first big break in South. I had toured many places like Italy, Jordan, Dubai for the shooting of this film. I have received excellent co-operation from Hatrick Hero Shivaraj Kumar who just helped me in my dialogue delivery. The film's producer N.M.Suresh, director Raghuram, cinematographer Kabir Lal were fully charged up during the shooting of the film despite taking up an onerous responsibility. The experience of working with many top artists of the Kannada film industry was memorable," she adds.
