B'lore, Sep.2 (NR): Actress Haripriya was absent during the audio release function of her forthcoming film Kallara Santhe directed by Sumana Kiththoor.

She is paired with Yesh in this film which is reported to be a satire on the current socio political climate of the state. She was not present even during the audio release function of her previous Kannada film Ee Sambhashane and her absence was criticized by the film's producer who had charged her with being unprofessional.

However, the producers of Kallara Santhe have not made an issue of her absence in the audio release function.

But Haripriya says that the producers of Kallara Santhe and the film's director Sumana Kiththoor had well understood the reasons for her absence in the audio release function of the film. "I was busy shooting for the Telugu film Thakita Thakita produced by actress Bhoomika in Hyderabad. I was shooting for the film for the past one month. I am still continuing working for the film in Hyderabad," says Haripriya.

Incidentally Hari Priya has been paired with a debutant actor Harsh, a model from Mumbai. Earlier, Haripriya has reacted strongly to the allegations made by Ee Sambhashane producer that she had not been invited for the audio release function or even for the press meet that was organised earlier. "They are trying to defame me by making baseless allegations," she had said.

Hari Priya has already done a Tamil film Kanakavel Khakka, and now she is fully focused on her new Telugu film Thakita Thakita. Is she slowly drifting to non Kannada films, as she has not signed any new Kannada film so far. Hari Priya disagrees. "I am taking up non Kannada projects because I don't have any exciting projects now. Now, I am also working in Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu for which I still has to finish some shooting work. I am basically a Kannada girl. How can I show disinterest on a Kannada film when I was launched through a Kannada film," says Haripriya.
