Gowri Munjal to retain soft image

B'lore, August.11 (NR): Two Delhi based girls have been working in the Kannada film industry. While the first one of them Pooja Gandhi is creating big waves in the industry and has almost made Bangalore her home now, another Delhi based model cum actress Gowri Munjal is yet trying to get a firm holding in the Kannada film industry despite having worked with many big heroes. Now, Gowri is working with Vinod Prabhakar in the film Hori directed by Nagendra Magadi.

Gowri has been much subdued as for her glamour orientation is concerned. "I don't want to be classified as a glamourous actress. I would be pleased if I am just called as an actress who can perform. And I make sure that I will only wear dresses that are comfortable to me. That is why you don't see me exposing on the screen," says Gowri Munjal who has been thrilled after signing her first Malayalam film with Super Star Mammotty. After doing a few films in Tollywood, Kollywood and Kannada films, Gowri Munjal is making her debut in Malayalam opposite superstar Mammootty's in Paleri Manikkam directed by Ranjit.

"I feel very proud to be the heroine of such a great actor like Mammotty. I want to do more meaningful roles in the future. I have so far worked in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films and for the first time I have been selected for a big film titled as Paleri Manickham in Malayalam. Mammootty sir plays a dual role in the film. What makes the film interesting is that Mammootty will play a dual role as the CBI officer who re- investigates the case in 2009 and a feudal Muslim landlord who lived in the 50's and involved in the crime. The film is directed by Ranjit," says Gowri Munjal.

Gowri has acted in Allu Arjun's Telugu hit Bunny and Kannada films like Gandana Mane opposite Shivarajakumar, Jaaji Mallige opposite Ajay and her debut was with power star Puneeth Rajakumar Namma Basava. Click the Movie button below for more info:
