Bangalore Nov 9: Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce terminates the agreement with Cine workers association (Okkoota') signed in 2004. They allowed Kannada film producers to employ with people they like. It resolves the on going crisis in Kannada film industry.

"As per the clause 7 and 14 of the bilateral agreement in 2004, the workers should not resort to stoppage of work and should bring any dispute to the notice of the film chamber, before embarking on any action. But Ashok has violated this agreement by announcing their decision for non-cooperation with 10 producers. It caused a lot of harm to industry. So we are constrained to terminate this agreement' Tallam Nanjunda Shetty, President of KFCC said at a press conference here.

Kannada film producers received the news with cheers. They will restart the shooting schedules that had announced five weeks ago.

Sandesh Nagaraj, President of the Kannada film producers association termed it as a major victory for the producers. "The film producers will find ways and means to go ahead with completing their pending shooting work for existing films by choosing people who are amicable to them", he said.

K.Manju, Producer of "Mathaad Mathaad Mallige', one of the producers in the black list of Okkootta, announced the restart of his film with the same artists. 'If they do not accept my invitation, then I will do it with amicable workers ", Manju said at a separate press meet.
