'Excuse Me' on top of Kannada music chart
Jul 19, 2004 IANS Jul 191. "Excuse Me" - The producer has scored by signing up R.P. Patnayak as the music director. The film's album has proved to be as big a success as the "Malla".
The box office performance of "Excuse Me" has also helped the album sales. Director Prem has shot the song exceptionally well. The title song, "the Sorry Song" and "Preethi Antha Praana Thinno" have become chartbusters.
2. "Malla" - The album became popular three months before the film was released Actor-director-music director Ravichandran has achieved success in all the three departments he has handled in this film.
3. "Monalisa" - One of the main reasons for this film's box office success is its music. There are foot-tapping rhythms, melodious numbers and even a "Ganal" song in the film. A good visual backup to the score has added to its appeal.
The title song "Monalisa" and "Car Car Huduga Bandha" are big hits.
4. "Kanti": The film's songs have become immensely popular on the television channels. Music director Guru Kiran has once again proved his Midas touch. The audio sales have been good for this Murali-Ramya-starrer directed by Bharat and produced by Kanakapura Srinivas.
"Baanalli Baa Chandira" is the most popular song of the film.
5. "Love": Though Bollywood's Anu Malik has composed music for the film it failed to create ripples at the time of the album's release. The audio sales, however, have picked up since then. The songs have been shot well. "Love Ge" and "Eh, Jambada Koli" have become popular numbers.
The film's future at the box office may well determine the level of the album's success.
