Dinesh Babu to direct another comedy

Well-known Kannada film director Dinesh Babu has completed one schedule of shooting for his new film 'Ganesha' in Kundapura in the Coastal Karnataka. The film has Jaggesh and Anant Nag being teamed up together for the first time. Both these actors are known for their comedy timing and the fans are expecting lot of comedy fire works from this combination.


Veteran actor Anant Nag who is now enjoying his best days of acting career both in the film and television world says that Dinesh Babu will be making a rip roaring comedy through 'Ganesha' In this film he plays the role of a ghost who haunts his son most of the time pleading with him not to sell the ancestral property.


Babu who has directed several top gun comedy hits like 'Hendthige Helthini', 'Chithra', 'Deepaavali' has always excelled in comedy sequences in his serious ventures like 'Suprabhatha', 'Neenello Naanalle' and others. Now, he is directing his own story and script titled as 'Ganesha', which has Jaggesh playing the role of a not so serious and irresponsible youngster who is prepared to sell his ancestral property after his father's death. The film deals with the conflict between the ghost and his living son who are at loggerheads about the sale of property. How, the ghost prevents the sale of property despite serious attempts made by the son forms the major plot of this story.


Jaggesh recounted his happy experiences of working in this film and said that it was like going to a picnic. 'Except for the sultry and hot weather the whole thing looked like a wonderful Holiday. Anant Nag sir is a great artist to work with. Many a times Anant sir would laugh uncontrollably after we had finished the sequence. And working with Dinesh Babu was like seeing a whole new world in front of me. I was really bowled over by his working style and his commitment to the product' says Jaggesh.


Babu has filmed the major portions of the film in a six hundred year old house in Kundapura. According to Babu one more schedule of the film is to be held in Kundapura after which some patchwork is being done in Bangalore in indoors. 'The old house is an integral part of the story and it is also a character of the film. That is why the major work of the film will be done in that house. We are planning another ten day shoot in the house in the second week of April' says Babu. Ranjini from Chennai who has already acted in several Telugu and Tamil films is the heroine of the film. Manikanth Kadri is the music director while Babu himself wields the camera in this film.
