Devi Sreeprasad composes for Sangama
Sep 2, 2008 RGVDevi Sreeprasad has composed background music for Kamal Hassan starrer Dasavathaaram recently. Now, Devi is making a debut to the Kannada film industry by composing songs for the film Sangama which has Golden Star Ganesh in the lead.
Glamorous Vedhika is being introduced in the film as a heroine. The film is being produced by S.V.Babu who had earlier made films like Honey Moon Express, Tenali Rama and Savi Savi Nenapu. Babu had also produced a Telugu film Andamaina Manasulo directed by Music director R.P.Patnayak. Sangama is being directed by Ravi Verma.
Devi was the star attraction in the first press conference of Sangama which was organised recently. The film has already completed the major potions of the shooting and only two songs of the film have to be picturised in abroad. Though Goden Star Ganesh who is already a big star in the Kannada film industry was present in the functiion, it was Devi Sreeprasad who was the major attraction of the function.
Devi was very happy that the film unit has given him such an importance in projecting him with a video presentation. "I am so greateful to producer S.V.Babu and director Ravi Varma. Though a big star like Ganesh is present here, I have been given such importance. I have composed the songs of the film and I have rendered play back also. Kaviraj has written fantastic lyrics for the film. And I am sure songs like Dil Maange More will rock," said Devi.
Devi said that he had heard the story of the film and promised the audience that the film would be a good musical love story.
Devi who had just completed a tour to America recently said that his musical tour was a huge success as thousands of people had attended the programmes.
"We had some live music shows in many major cities of US like Los Angeles, San Jose, Philadelphia, New York and other places. I was overwhelmed by the fantastic response of the NRIs," said Devi.
