Bangalore, Sep 17 (IANS) After doing hit movie "Gaja" this year, Kannada action star Darshan has teamed up with debutant director Raghuraj for another action film titled "Boss". The actor plays a double role and says he has signed it just for his fans.

"I have not signed the film out of any compulsions, but the fact is that some of my fans were telling me that I should again do films like 'Kariya', 'Daasa', 'Shashthri', 'Gaja' and 'Indra', which have strengthened my action image," Darshan told IANS.

" 'Boss' will also have many action sequences. This will be a different type of action film for me," the actor added.

Darshan will have Navya Nair, who starred with him in "Gaja", and Rekha of "Hudugaaata" fame as his leading ladies in the movie.

The film's shooting has already started in Germany and the director is currently canning a song with Darshan and Navya there. Darshan is later set to shoot two songs with Rekha in Austria and Bangkok.

After completing the shooting of the songs, the unit will return to Mysore for a hectic 60-day schedule.

Producer Ramesh Yadav said this is the first time that Darshan has allotted bulk dates for a film.

Yadav is confident about the film's script and said: "The film will be a package of all commercial elements. It is an action thriller, but comedy will get prime focus."

Darshan made a name for himself by doing gangster films like "Majestick", "Kariya" and "Shashthri". And in each film, he consciously tried to look different.

Although Darshan focuses on action films, he impressed with his performances in award winning movie "Lalli Haadu".

After "Boss", Darshan is all set to work with actor-director Mahesh Babu.
