Oct 18, 2007 R.G. VijayasarathyThe top five Kannada albums this fortnight are:
1. "Cheluvina Chiththara" - Mano Murthy has given extraordinarily melodious tunes for the songs, which appeal to all sections of listeners. "Ullasada hoomale", "Kanaso idhu", "Janumada gelathi" and "Iralare cheluve" are the top songs.
2. "Milana" - The album's popularity is increasing with each passing day. In the past two weeks, the daily sales of the album have increased three fold, says its distributor Anand Audio. Most popular tracks are "Ninnindale" and "Male ninthu hodha mele".
3. "Mungaru Male" - Enough has already been written about the huge success of the album. Even after completing 300 days, it is still going strong. It was this album that took NRI composer Mano Murthy to the top. "Anisuthide" rendered by Sonu Nigam is the pick of the album.
4. "Krishna" - As the film is doing fantastic business, the album is also moving fast from shop shelves. "Neenu bandha mel thaane" has become the most popular song, bringing kudos for composer Hari Krishna.
5. "Ee Bhandana" - Two songs of the album, "Idhe bhoomi" sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal and "Chandramukhi" sung by Udit Narayan, have struck a chord among listeners. This is yet another feather in Mano Murthy's cap.
