Dec 26, 2007 R. G. Vijayasarathy

Bangalore, Dec 27 (IANS) "Cheluvina Chiththaara" is virtually setting a record in the Kannada music market as the film is out of the theatres after a 25-week run, but the album still rules the charts.

The top five Kannada albums are:

1. "Cheluvina Chiththaara" - Music director Mano Murthy continues to mesmerise listeners with his compositions. "Ullasada hoo male", "Kanaso idhu" and "Iralaaare cheluve" are particularly popular hits.

2. "Milana" - Mano Murthy's tunes for the film continue to rock. "Ninnindhale ninnindhale" is the most popular song. "Anthoo inthu" and "Male ninthu hodha mele" are also catchy.

3. "Krishna" - Only one song is really popular, and the huge sale of the album can be attributed to the charisma of Ganesh, the film's hero. "Neenu bandha mele thane", composed by Hari Krishna, is the most loved song.

4. "Ee Bandhana" - The film was released just days ago but along with it the album is also becoming hugely popular. Even before the film's release, the album was doing well. "Idhe bhoomi adhe haadu" by Sonu Nigam is the top song of the album, which is yet another feather in Mano Murthy's cap.

5. "Chanda" - The film is doing well and so is the album. Director S. Narayan has also scored the music, with good results.
