Bangalore, May 23 (IANS) Popular South Indian actor Arjun Sarja, called "Action King" by his fans, is all set to direct and star in a Hindi film that will be made under the banner of his own production house.

Sarja told mediapersons here Friday evening that the film will be launched in September.

"I have already written the story and the script. I have to finalise the cast and the technical crew. When I wrote the subject, I thought it would be better if it can be made into a Hindi film. It has a universal theme but the love angle will get strong focus," the actor said.

Sarja, who made a mark with action roles, is also a leading film producer in the south. He is currently making Kannada film "Vaayuputhra", which has been directed by his brother Kishor Sarja and will be the launch pad of his nephew Chiranjeevi.

The film, which also stars Andrita Ray and Ambareesh, is in post production stage.

"We plan to release the Kannada film by the end of June or first week of July. I am also working in a new Kannada film to be produced by Ramu. It will be launched in August," said Sarja.

The actor is also working with Malayalam super star Mammotty in a Malayalam film "Aruvaadai" directed by Anwar Hussain.

Bangalore-born Sarja began his career in Kannada films with the children's adventure film "Simhada Mari Sainya". He has so far acted in more than 80 films in five languages, including some Hindi movies.

The Tamil Nadu government conferred the Best Actor award on him for the film "Gentleman".
