Another 'Shilpa' for Kannada screen

A look-alike of Shilpa Shetty, a Mumbai-based Punjabi girl, has entered the Kannada film industry. She is Ashima Bhalla.

Ashima has done films with Chiranjeevi ("Daddy"), Vijayakanth ("Raman") and Prabhu Deva ("Allauddin"). She has been paired with Kannada superstar Vishnuvardhan in the Suresh Krishna-directed "Jyeshta", being shot in Mysore.

Ashima is excited that she has been paired with a big star in her first Kannada film.

"I am delighted to enact the role of a chatterbox. I am always talking or giggling. It has been easy for me to act in this film, though the lip sync for the language has been a little difficult," says Ashima.
