Ananya Kasaravalli in 'Desi'

Ananya Kasaravalli, daughter of internationally acclaimed film director Girish Kasaravalli and actor-director Vaishali Kasaravalli has already proved her acting talents in the award winning film 'Naayi Neralu' directed by her father. The actor is now balancing her career both in films and television serials. Now, the actress is working in popular Tele seial 'Male Billu' which is being telecasted in the ETV Channel. She has also completed many episodes of work in 'Guptha Gaamini'

Ananya Kasaravalli has another important film lined up for release. The film 'Desi' is being directed by Nikhil Manjoo. The film is in contest for the state awards this year. The film is produced by Technomark company which earlier produced the award winning 'Mouni' directed by B.S.Lingadevaru.

According to the film's director Nikhil, Ananya was selected for the role not only because of her talents, but also because of her innocence filled face. 'She fits into the role and has given a wonderful performance of a middle class Brahmin girl who is in love with a person belonging to a different community.

Major portions of 'Desi' has been shot in a village near Srirangapattana in Mandya district and the remaining portions were shot in Theerthahalli and some parts of coastal Karnataka.
