Amrutha for luck?

Telugu film actress Amrutha has acquired a useful reputation as the lucky mascot of Kannada cinema with four of her five films in the language going

to become box office hits.

The first of these films "Dakota Express", in which she was teamed with Rockline Venkatesh, had a 100-day run. The second "Devaru Varavanu Kotre"

was also a profit-earner. The real box-office smashes, however, were the third and the fourth, "Yaadho Duddu Yellammana Jathre" and "Daasa" respectively.

Her only flop has been "Pati Patni Avalu" directed by Shivakumar.
