Sep 6, 2006 R.G. VijayasarathyThe top five Kannada albums are:
1. "Aishwarya": The innovative publicity for the film's songs on television channels, along with the quality of music, has made the album a big hit. "Ella Ok, Maduve Yaake" and the title song composed by music director Rajesh Ramanath are chartbusters.
2. "Sevanthi Sevanthi": Ashwini Audio Company, which released the album, is now distributing it along with the audios of new releases like "Jothey Jotheyalli". This is proving to be a good sales technique. The combination of director S. Narayan and composer S.A. Raj Kumar has struck gold. "Jaaji Mallige Hoovu" is the most popular number of the album.
3. "Neenello Naanalle": The film will be hitting the 50-day mark soon and the songs are becoming popular as they are continuously telecast on television channels. The tunes of five of the six songs have been lifted from the Telugu original "Nuvvasthaanante Nenoddantaana". Music director Ramesh Krishna has composed only one song.
4. "Sirivantha": Ashwini Audio released the album just recently and initial sales reports are highly satisfactory. "Megha Megha' rendered by Shankar Mahadevan and "Yaaro Yaaro Aa Nalvaru" by S.P. Balasubramanyam have really touched a chord in the hearts of listeners.
5. "Odahuttidavalu": The music scored by R.P. Patnayak has yet to catch on.
