'Aham...' - another all-Ravichandran film
Apr 16, 2005 IANS Apr 16Bangalore, April 16 (IANS): "Aham Premasmi" sees Kannada star Ravichandran at his multifaceted best - as an actor, director, producer and music director.
The extravagant film - his dream project - is also the launching pad for his brother Balaji, a.k.a. Eshwar, who has waited nearly six years for a break.
The film will co-star Mambai-based model-cum-actress Arati Chabria, who has featured in a few Hindi and Telugu films, is being introduced on the Kannada screen through "Aham Premasmi".
"Crazy Star" Ravichandran, who has a large fan following, will also be seen playing a cameo role.
Ravichandran also claims to have evolved new editing techniques for the film to get added impact.
"I just sat in front of the editing table with the huge pile of negatives and did the whole process myself. It was a satisfying experience," he said.
The film's audio and CD sales, done through his audio company, has received a terrific response.
He has followed the totally novel method of marketing the cassettes and CDs through the cable network, in a bid to reach the homes of music lovers directly.
Another new feature of the film is the use of the digital grading technology at an exorbitant cost of Rs.4 million. The digital grading has been done in colour laboratories in Mumbai.
