Bangalore, March 19 (IANS): The actors of the Kannada film "Aaptha Mithra" have just completed a tour of four major cities - Hubli, Davanagere, Shimoga and Tumkur.

1. "Aaptha Mithra": The film's collections have improved and producer Dwarakish is planning a publicity drive during the coming summer holidays. The film may run for a year in big city centres.

2. "Ayya": The Darshan-Rakshitha combination has once again struck gold at the box office.

The film, directed by Om Prakash Rao who had earlier directed the super-hit "Kalasi Palya" with the same combo, is getting good collections in Hubli and other parts of northern Karnataka as some portions of the film were shot there. The film has collected over Rs.7.5 million in Bangalore theatres alone.

3. "Joke Falls": The film has completed 100 days' run in a single-screen theatre and a multiplex in Bangalore city as well as a theatre in Mysore.

The film is now being screened in some theatres in the US, thanks to NRI producer Atlanta Nagendra. According to him, the film's collections in the US are good.

4. "Kalasi Palya": Though the film has moved away from major centres, the collections have been fantastic wherever released. The film may complete a silver-jubilee run in Bangalore city, though not in the theatre where it was released.

5. "Rishi": This Shivaraj Kumar-Vijaya Raghavendra-starrer directed by Prakash, has completed 50 days in a Bangalore theatre. The collections have not matched expectations. This may be because the film seems more for the classes than the masses.
