Potter films make spectacles popular fashion statement

London, Nov 19 (IANS) Harry Potter fans have sparked a dramatic increase in the sale of spectacles in Britain in an effort to look like their wizard hero.

Opticians across Britain are preparing for sales to double between November and January, as people go to watch the fourth movie "Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire", according to contactmusic.com.

Daniel Radcliffe, who stars as Harry, says: "Harry Potter has managed to make specs cool again and struck a blow for anyone who has ever been teased about it or called four eyes."
