Halle Berry in 'The Hive'

London, March 17 (IANS) American actress Halle Berry has committed to starring in "The Hive".

The actress will take on the lead role in the Brad Anderson directed thriller about a 911 emergency operator who helps to save a teenager from a disturbed killer despite her own fears, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I'm thrilled to be working with Halle on this. It's a formidable role for an equally formidable actress, said Brad.

"Berry has always been our first choice to star in 'The Hive,' and we're thrilled that we were able to put this together in and around Los Angeles with the help of the California Tax Incentive," producers Robert Stein and Michael Helfant added.

Rich D'Ovidio penned the script, which is based on an original story he wrote with Nicole D'Ovidio and Jon Bokencamp.

Bradley Gallo will co-produce for Troika Pictures alongside Jeff Graup, while Philip M. Cohen and William Gallo will serve as executive producers. Click the Movie button below for more info:
