London, May 19 (IANS) Comic actor Steve Carell, who has appeared in hits like "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Dan in Real Life", says he takes up any role that comes along because every time he is shocked that he would even be considered.
Due to his lack of discrimination in choosing movie roles, Carell has ended up working in some flops, including "Bewitched" in 2005, but he doesn't seem to care much because he just wants to work, reports contactmusic.com.
Carell said: "Someone offers me a part in a film and I take it. Clearly there's been no rhyme or reason or anything. Am I getting paid? Absolutely. I'm always astounded to be offered any sort of role so I'm like, 'All right, I'm going to play a rapist? Cool. I always wanted to play a rapist.' So there hasn't been a career path in that sense, it's just kind of been the luck of the draw."
