New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) Director Tanuja Chandra's latest woman-centric film "Zindaggi Rocks", releasing Friday, examines the conflict between love and life's responsibilities.

Tanuja, a Mahesh Bhatt protégée, has made seven films but hasn't been able to repeat the success of her first film "Dushman", starring Sanjay Dutt and Kajol.

"Sangharsh", "Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar" and "Sur - The Melody Of Life" sank at the box office and "Film Star" hasn't seen the light of day yet.

The director has pinned all her hopes on this Sushmita Sen-Shiney Ahuja starrer to work wonders for her.

"Zindaggi Rocks" is a love story that revolves around Kria (Sushmita), an outgoing, happy-go-lucky rock star and Suraj Rihan (Shiney) a shy, cynical, workaholic doctor.

Kria, who lives with her mother, aunt (both roles played by Moushumi Chatterjee) and her son, believes that one should live each day as it comes without worrying too much about the future.

She meets Suraj, finds him likeable and they start meeting often. These causal meetings bring them together. The two are very different from each other and their equally different families come together when the two fall in love.

So far so good. But an unexpected incident occurs that changes the course of their lives. Kria and Suraj are forced to re-examine their priorities, which threatens to spoil their relationship.

The film focuses on matters of the heart. It is a deeply emotional tale of love and sacrifice. Also in the film are Kim Sharma, Ravi Gosain and child artist Julian.
